One day, the God wanted to give a young man two apples, so he asked the man, “Which one do you want, the one in my left hand or in my right hand ?” The man answered, “The one in your left hand.” So the God gave the man the apple in his left hand. But when the man got the apple, he thought the one in the God’s another hand must be better than his. And he said to the God, “I think I like the one in your right hand, and this one in my hand will give you.” “OK!” The God said, “I will give you the other apple.” But when the man had one of the two apples, he often thought the apple in the God’s other hand was better than the one in his hand, so he often asked the God to exchange. At last, the God became very angry, he didn’t give the man anything, and said to him, “you are very greedy!” Then he went away.
I think some of us are like the man in the story. They often think the other people’s things must be better than theirs, and they often want to get the better ones. But at last, they often get nothing. So I hope we won’t become the man in the story.
