      1. Sing an English song” Happy Birthday”
      2.Duty report: What day is today? What’s the weather like today? What’s the date today?
      3.Let the pupils guess whose birthday is today?
      4.Watch VCD; try to get the answer----Amy’s birthday.
      5.Identify the task: Let’s make a birthday party for the students whose birthday is today or in this month.
      

      III. New teaching:
      1. Ask: What does Amy want in the cartoon?
      

      2.Let them watch again of the text.
      3.Give them some pictures of food, let them choose.
      

      4.Teach the new words: soup\bread\biscuits\
      sweets
      (1)Read words: soup\bread

(2)When teach “biscuits”, show them some biscuits. Ask them to take some if they like. Also they can use the new sentences “Can I have some….”

(3) Teach the new word: sweets----Put some sweets in some students’ desk, let another student look for them. If he can find the sweets, he can ask:” Can I have some sweets?” to get some.
      5. Present some sweets; let them use “Can I have some sweets?”to get. The teacher may answer:” Yes, you can. \Sorry, you can’t.”
      6. Repeat these new sentences after teacher.

      1. Present many kinds of food let them choose what they like. After they express their ideas, they can choose a box (golden\silver). Then take out the piece of paper in the box, others can read out what’s on the paper-----Yes ,you can’t. \Sorry, you can’t
      2. Open the books ,listen to the tape, point and repeat..
      3. Explain “dark\turn on the light.”
      4. Repeat after the tape again.
      1. Have a birthday party for the students whose birthday is today or in this month.; first make up some missing pictures, then take them as the birthday presents.
      2.Put different kind of food in each group, they can choose what they like best, and get from other groups. (With the birthday song)
      You can enjoy yourselves and have a good time now. You also can have the birthday party with your family or your friends.
