Step1: Warm up
1) Sing a song 《Row Row Row your boat》
2) Free talk
a) (卡片) Magic bag ( Teacher take a magic bag. There are some cards inside. Students take out cards and answer questions.)
EG: Tt: What are you doing?
Ss: I’m running. / I’m play football.
b) (课件1) 师生根据课件内容问答。
EG: Tt: What is she/he doing?
Ss: She/He is swimming.
Tt: Can you swim? / Can she/he swim?
Ss: Yes / No.
Tt: Yes, I/she/he can. No, I/she/he can’t.
Step2: Learn “four skill” words
Learn words
1) (课件2) Learn two words --- can、can’t
Ss: Listen and repeat
Tt: Point out that can’t is the short form of can、not. Can’t is 不会。 Can is 会。

Guessing game
指名学生做动作,其他学生猜单词。如:一名学生上台做骑自行车的动作,其他学生说出“ride”。
Play a game
(课件8---背景音乐)围椅子转----全班分成八组,各组抽掉一张椅子,另4把椅子背靠着背摆在一起。5名学生围着椅子转圈,老师放音乐并用run、fast、jump fast、jump far、ride fast 等喊口令,那5名围着椅子转的学生必须按口令做相应的动作。当老师忽然将音乐停下时,他们必须马上坐到椅子上,没有抢到椅子的学生出局。拿走一把椅子,剩下的4名学生照上述规则继续游戏,依次类推,坚持到最后的学生获胜。

Ss: Yes, I can. / No, I can’t.
Tt: Can she/he ___________?
Ss: Yes, she/he can. No, she/he can’t. 2)师生用以上句型对话,让学生根据实际情况作答。
Step4: Learn U1, Part1
(课件10) Ss: Look at the screen, Listen to the text for two times and answer questions.
Step5: Do a survey
全班分成八个小组,每组选派一名组长。根据老师分发的调查表对组员的能力进行调查,例如: Can you run fast/jump high/ride fast?
学生根据自己的实际情况使用“Yes, I can.”或“No, I can’t.”逐个回答。组长对调查结果进行记录,然后向全班同学汇报。学生可以根据自己的实际情况进行添加。
